Establishing The Digital Literacy Campaign

Join Us in Empowering Visually Impaired Children Through Technology
At Deepa Academy, we are launching an exciting campaign to establish a Digital Literacy Center for visually impaired children. This center will be a beacon of hope and opportunity, providing these children with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world. We invite you to join us in making this vision a reality.
Campaign Goal

Our goal is to raise INR 42,00,000/- (USD 50000) to fund the construction and setup of the Digital Literacy Center. This includes:

  • Infrastructure Development: Building a dedicated, accessible space for learning, including the construction of a mezzanine floor.
  • Technology and Equipment: Procuring computers, specialized software, and assistive technologies tailored for visually impaired users.
  •  Curriculum Development: Creating a comprehensive, accessible curriculum that covers everything from basic computer skills to advanced programming.
  • Staff Training: Equipping educators with the knowledge and tools to effectively teach digital literacy to visually impaired students.

Why This Campaign Matters

Visually impaired children often face significant barriers to education and employment, particularly in the realm of technology. The Digital Literacy Center will break down these barriers by providing:

  • Equal Access to Education: Ensuring that visually impaired children can learn digital skills alongside their sighted peers.
  • Increased Opportunities: Equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed for future employment in technology-driven industries.
  • Empowerment and Independence: Teaching students how to use digital tools to navigate the world independently and confidently.

How You Can Help

Several Ways You Can Support The Campaign
  • Donate: Your financial contributions will go directly toward building and equipping the center.
  • Sponsor a Child: Provide a scholarship for a visually impaired student to attend courses at the center.
  • Volunteer: Share your skills by volunteering to teach or support our students.
  • Spread the Word: Help us reach a wider audience by sharing our campaign on social media, with friends, and within your network.
