Children of our academy are learning Bharatanatyam from a renowned Kathak and Bharatanatyam performer Smt. Suparna Venkatesh (M.A, M. Phil (Bharatanatyam) from Bangalore University, Diploma in Kathak and Choreography).
Dr.(Mrs.) Kaveri Sridhar a renowned Vocalist, the Director and President of Bangalore Youth Choir, an institution to promote Indian Choral Music. She has taken up the responsibility of teaching the Carnatic vocal music to Miss. Shivamma (Visually Challenged Student) of the Academy who possesses a unique voice and a great interest in music. Shivamma has already performed in many musical concerts in various parts of Bangalore and has gained the appreciation from the audience.
The Sharma School of Music and Fine Arts, Mahalakshmi layout, Bangalore has taken up the task of teaching Keyboard, Carnatic Classical Music and Light Music to many students of the Academy and have provided opportunities for children to perform on various occasions.
The students of the Academy have participated in all the sports meet organised by the department for the disabled welfare and have won many prizes every year.
The students of IED Programme also had the opportunity to participate in the sports meet conducted by Malleshwaram Shishuvihar at Malleshwaram grounds in Bangalore.
The performance of low vision students winning prizes by competing with the sighted students needs a special mention.
The IBM's ODC members are conducting the Personality Development classes on Saturdays and Sundays for the students of the Academy, which also includes playing personality development games.
Every year educational excursions are being organised to help the students in their overall development and to enable them to have both amusement and education. In year 2006-07, students visited Talakadu, Shivana Samudra and M.M Hills and in 2007-08, students visited Madikeri (Coorg).
